Canada Expands Eligibility for Federal Dental Care Program
The federal government is moving forward with its plans to expand access to dental care across the country. In a recent announcement, the Liberal government revealed that eligibility for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) will soon be widened to include even more Canadians.
According to CTV News, the program will now cover uninsured Canadians with a household income under $90,000 annually. Applications are being rolled out in phases, with seniors, children under 18, and people with disabilities among the first to qualify.
This expansion is expected to bring much-needed relief to Canadians who’ve had to delay or forgo essential dental care due to cost. Access to affordable oral health services remains a challenge in many parts of the country—including Ontario—where long wait times and high treatment costs can discourage patients from seeking timely care.
At Superior Handpiece Service, we understand how important it is for dental practices to be ready to meet increased demand. As more patients gain access to dental coverage, clinics across Ontario will likely see a rise in bookings. Ensuring your equipment is running smoothly and efficiently is more critical than ever.
